The production process begins with the pumping of water from an aquifer of 150-180m deep, located southwest of the village of Stylos at the foot of the White Mountains. The drilling is made with strict specifications, especially for use by a water bottling plant (stainless steel pipes, isolated from the surrounding area and protected from any human intervention). The water flows through the pipes and at the entrance of the factory it is filtered by two sets of filters for possible solid residue. Due to the exceptional quality of the water, no chemical treatment, or radiation exposure is required for its purification, thus, its natural character and physicochemical characteristics remain unchanged.

The Company has five automated lines for water bottling

The first production line is used for bottling Still water in glass bottles, as well as for carbonated water in 0.25L, 0.33L, 0.5L, 0.7L, 1L and 1.5L glass and PET bottles. (capacity 6.000 bph )

The water is bottled in modern production lines of closed type (COMBI machines), a fact that deters any human contact with the final product.

Initially, the bottles are formed after processing the preforms. The preforms pass through a tunnel equipped with UV light for disinfection. Then, they are heated to about 115°C and enter the molds. Highly compressed sterile air is blown into the molds and the bottles are formed. The process continuous with the filling of the bottles with water and their subsequent capping. The filled bottles exit the closed space of the machine and with the aid of conveyor belts move to the next stage. The LOT number and the expiration date are engraved on the bottles with a precise laser, then the label is attached and finally packages are created by a robotic machine. Packages are stacked onto pallets and stored in the warehouse.

The production process is strictly monitored by Quality Control. The role of Quality Control in bottling companies is of major importance. ETANAP has a modern microbiological laboratory where, with daily production controls and analyzes, the unique quality of SAMARIA water is certified. Every day, all the required analyzes are performed, starting from the drilling water, the raw materials, the network, the finished product, ending with the product that is in the stage of storage.

At regular intervals, accredited laboratories perform controls on the drilling and on the final product to insure the stable chemical composition of SAMARIA water and its excellent microbiological condition.
